We make our living as woodcutters
in the mountains of Wakayama.
In olden days, the wood used to build towns and temples was referred to as soma (timber), and the woodsmen who worked in the woodland were called somaudo or somabito (woodsmen).

We perform a type of work called "specialized tree trimming."
Rather than felling standing trees from their base,
specialized tree trimming involves using a rope to climb trees
and cut off interfering tree tops
and limbs near homes and electrical cables.
This wood that is cut off.
How to put it to good use rather than discarding
it was the origin of our idea for Somaud Pizza.
You can also try tree-climbing and wood-chopping at our establishment.
There is also a hammock in the yard
where you can lie down for some rest and sunshine!
Lying down on the grass is also a good way to relax.
The wood-burning stove will warm you in the winter.
For pizza baking, we use firewood from broadleaf trees such as cherry, beech, and oak.
Their rich smell gives the pizza flavor.
